Thinking partner
Thinking partner*
A thinking partner supports a client’s field. Beyond the words they use, people generate their own field, and the thinking partner supports it.
UA thinking partner is an appreciative coach who not only takes into consideration the client’s aspirations and individual talents (as in traditional coaching), s/he also bears in mind the context, and what the person is creating within the context of his/her whole system. A thinking partner accompanies clients in their thinking processes and helps them to create a generative field of exploration, inquiry and growth.
The thinking partner accompanies clients as they progress often through the “5 Ds” – that is to say, the five stages of Appreciative Inquiry, however if the situation requires a more customized approach may be taken.
Miriam Subirana is a thinking partner for managers, leaders and individuals.
